Brett proposed at sunset on the beach in Fiji while on holidays.He had planned everything and I had no idea. He arranged for a helicopter flight to one of the romantic islands, called Matamanoa where a private boat transported us to a little island for a day of snorkelling. After an amazing day, as we admired the sunset, I chatted about what a wonderful day we had enjoyed, when Brett, bent onto one knee into the sand and held out an amazing, sparkly engagement ring! I was shocked! We had been together for seven years and had enjoyed many holidays where we enjoyed sunsets, just like that day, that it surprised me that today was the day he was going to propose. I was so excited, happy, and so in love that I just burst into tears, repeating “Oh my god, really, are you sure, really oh my god, wow, Brett this is amazing”. Finally, allowing Brett to get a word in and actually ask the question, “Will you marry me?” my answer was, of course and definite,”Yes!”

Emmanuelle’s family is from Broome and was the perfect location to gather our family and friends together to celebrate our wedding day was beautiful. The Broome weather and the relaxing vibe of this beach town was ideal. We talked about how amazing it would be to have the golden colours of the Broome sunset as the backdrop for our wedding photos. Our wishes came true with the help of Nat from We are all Stardust who captured our magical day, golden sunset and all.
